My website is about two areas of Biology that fascinate me, microbes from extreme environments and coral reefs as well as my travels to both - past and future.
- there are more microbes in Antarctica than there are stars in the observable universe.
- the Atacama Desert has been arid for 150 million years and super-arid for about 15 million years. The longest time for any desert on Earth
- garden soil may contain over 10,000,000,000 bacteria per gram!
